View Larger New project is this. Every Wednesday at a coffeeshop near my work there’s this girl, her guitar. Plays some Jewel, plays some Natalie Merchant, today she threw in “Yesterday,” which is perfectly surpassing. No one watches and no one claps. Sometimes there is not even anyone there. Still, she chugs along, quite prettily, actually, except for on “Yesterday,” which was legitimately disastrous. I am going to watch her every Wednesday from here on out, her two-hour set, which she plays in its entirety, even if it is to just a single attendee: myself. I will make no conversation. If conversation gets made, the project ends. When will the project end? That is the question of this project.
Today was the third installment of the project. It almost ended when she thanked me for coming. I made a horrified face and ran into the bathroom. I do not think this counts as conversation.
